A Little Rave

Today's champion is L'Oreal's brand spanking new foundation
Nude Magique Eau De Teint
£6.99 for 20ml Superdrug

I have really been enjoying this foundation lately. It is a very sheer coverage with a liquid to powder finish. The finish is matte without being chalky and is really a your skin but better result. This foundation is not long lasting by any stretch. Fans of Estee Lauder's Double Wear should steer clear. As should those of you who are looking to cover significant blemishes or hyper pigmentation. It is the ultimate foundation on days when you don't want people to know you are wearing anything. It is not the foundation for a sweaty night of dancing!

One thing to note is that this product does contain silicones so anyone who has had previous reactions should avoid.

I just wanted to mention the chatter surrounding this foundation's similarity to Georgio Armani's Maestro foundation. I feel that having both foundations in my personal stash I can make an accurate comparison. THESE FOUNDATIONS ARE IDENTICAL. I was really quite sad to report this as the Georgio Armani foundation set me back about £30 in a pay day moment of madness. If you have been thinking about trying Maestro, try this first. It is on introductory offer in Superdrug for £6.99 at the mo. One thing I feel the need to comment on is the size. Here in the UK we're getting a 20ml bottle. However, in the US they are getting 27ml per bottle. What's up with the 7ml ey? Also in the US the official name is 'Magic Nude Liquid Powder'. Why did L'oreal feel the need to change the name? I would have been perfectly happy with the original. That aside the product is lovely.

So,  if you are in the market for a non dewy, natural foundation with an affordable price tag, this might be the one.

What's your favourite foundation?
